My name is Ashley Oyler and I am currently a Sophomore at Eastern Illinois University studying Fashion Merchandising and Design. I have created this blog as a weekly assignment for my Two-Dimensional Designs art class. I will be posting a weekly identification and analysis of a piece of artwork that I have chosen that contains design principals that we will be discussing throughout the semester. The goal of this blog is to apply the skills and principals I will be learning to real world examples of art from both the pre-modern and modern eras.
A little fun fact to know about me is that I have been in the Army National Guard for about 4 years now. The picture above is actually a picture of me stepping off of a CH47 helicopter, also known as a Chinook, during a deployment to Kuwait. This is just one of the many interesting experiences I've experienced during my time in the National Guard.
