A Love Story (Or Not)" by Jason Shiga
The theme for this week’s piece is Unity. Unity can be
defined by multiple principles of design to include balance, rhythm,
proportion, emphasis, harmony. When these principles come together in equilibrium, the artist has reached a point of unity and I feel that when I look at this book cover that artist did just that. You can find this unity through the repetition of the font as well as the gradate rhythm of the rays of light starting from the Empire State Building and getting lighter in color as they move towards the person.
