Balance - Blue Sky

"Blue Sky" by Mark Chagall

This lithograph by Mark Chagall is called "Blue Sky" and it can be found in the book "Chagall Lithographs." The reason I chose this artwork is the artists great use of asymmetrical balance as well. The artist created balance by using smaller images such as the Eiffel Tower and the bridge to fill the space opposite of the larger images in the right hand corner such as the hand and faces. The reason this work is because the way the artist utilizes the smaller images creates a sense of balance when looking at this work.
